Academics are a priority for the women of Gamma Phi Beta. Ranking 4th on the Hill in the Spring 2011 semester with a GPA of 3.27 was a proud accomplishment for our chapter.
Sorority members strive to reach their academic goals with the support of our scholarship programs. Gamma Phi offers a variety of ways to assist our members through tutoring, study hours, study skills programs, study buddies, rewards and incentives for excellence on exams as well as semester grades.
Gamma Phi Beta is pleased to offer many scholarships to our members each year. Through the generosity of our alumnae, endowments have been established through the University of Kansas and the International Gamma Phi Beta Foundation for members of our chapter. In 2011, more than $22,000 was given to twenty KU Gamma Phi’s, with awards ranging from $500 to $2000, based on academics, leadership, involvement on campus, and financial need. Our chapter also gives monetary awards to women in the house who have been nominated by their sorority sisters for demonstrating sisterhood to other members.
